Recent Acquisitions

I picked up a few new items here and there: some metal fence panels, some pewter milk cans and a small porcelain basket.

The basket matches some other items that I have been using to fill this Tynietoy corner cabinet with.  Some of these items were original to the Crescent Moon cottage when I first won it at auction.  It can be seen by clicking HERE and dates from the early 1900's.

I found these metal fence panels at an estate sale for 25 cents each.  They are Christmas ornaments.  I think they will work nicely as fence painted black and placed in between stone or brick columns.

I came across two of these pewter miniature milk cans at a local antique mall.  They were in a booth that sold salt and pepper shakers, but I don't think that is what they are. Maybe Christmas ornaments? but they weigh a ton!  Land O Lakes is an American diary company. I think they will look nice somewhere in my Cozy Cabin project.
Progress on it can be seen by clicking on the Cabin link on the right.

  3. Great purchases. I really like the metal fence panels.

  4. Boy so many idea came through my head when I saw those gates. They can be a bedframe or any number of other things. I think I like the idea of them being gates the best t hough.. Everything you have is great!

  5. Yes, when I first caught a glimpse of the curving metal and the ball finials, I thought it was a miniature bed in the box of Christmas ornaments. Then when I started digging through the box I found several of them.

  6. All great items Troy. The basket looks great with the other items on your corner unit.
