Christmas Village 2016

We had a fun time setting up the Christmas Village again this year.
One of the things I enjoy about our village is that it is different each time.
This year we combined the "tree village" that was debuted last year, and the sloping hill from previous years.

Here are a couple of in-progress photos.

To see a detailed post on how I set up the village click on the Christmas Village label below or the links on the top right.

I glue craft sticks to the bottom of the street lamps.  (I also paint them white)
This helps them stand up all season long.

Here are a few different views

This is so dreamy! One could sit and dream up stories about each person and grouping! Your 1:1 house must be so inviting each year. Thanks so much for sharing!

  7. Hi, Troy - This is a perfect Christmas Village! Your placement of the pieces makes the village come to life. I especially like the sledding hill (and the spilled child!) The horse is beautiful and looks as though he's actually pulling that sleigh. I think your idea to glue the craft sticks to the street lights is ingenious - and I'm sure saves you much time and frustration in trying to keep the lights straight and upright. Nice work!
